PLEASE NOTE: We are getting closer to be able to send out an email so you may start setting up your Group Register Account and start making payments. Our goal is to have an email out to all who have signed up on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 19th. Please check your spam/junk folder and if you do not have an email by May 20th, email Ron @ rsimmons@musfestivals.com and let him know. He will resend the email. Group Register will have all of the updated available packages and the costs. 

 

In the meantime, here is some updated information! We look forward to seeing you all in November.  


We are so excited that the MGAMB is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary this year and that we have the opportunity to invite our past alumni members back to share in this special milestone.  We have been in discussions with the Macy’s Parade Staff and we will be combining our alumni members with the high school members to form one very large Macy’s Great American Marching Band for this years' parade.
 

We have booked hotel rooms for the MGAMB Alumni at the beautiful Marriott Marquis Time Square Hotel. You will be in the center of Manhattan so during your free time you’ll be able to enjoy all of the exciting opportunities that New York City has to offer.  The cost of breakfast at the Marriott is very expensive, so we are making arrangements with Hard Rock Cafe to provide breakfast for any of our members who are interested.  We are offering this as an option at an additional cost, so if you would like to include breakfast on Tuesday and Wednesday, please select that option on Group Register as an additional cost. You already have breakfast included for Thursday morning and we are not offering it for check-out day on Friday morning. 

Over the next few months we will be determining the type of attire that the alumni will be wearing in the parade.  Once we have further information, we will be contacting everyone via Group Register email and let you know what the attire is and what you will need to provide. We will also then be able to let you know if we will be wearing white or black shoes.

An online portal will be set-up called Group Register and it will be “live and operating” on May 19th for everyone to set-up their accounts and start to make payments. There will be questions that you will need to answer. In the email that will be sent out on May 19th, a link along with instructions on how to set-up your account will be included. Please note that we have provided the option of arrival on Sunday or Monday.  The first rehearsal for the MGAMB Alumni will be at 3:00 pm on Monday, November 23rd at the Teaneck Armory, so please keep this in mind as you make your plans for arrival into New York City. 

It has not yet been determined where we will be in the line-up for the parade but Macy’s is certainly looking forward to our participation as we join with them to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the parade. We will be providing further information and a more detailed itinerary over the next few months as planning continues.

***** PLEASE NOTE: This site is not for returning current high school members (still currently in high school that does not graduate in 2026) that are planning to return to the 2026 MGAMB (high school band). When registrations open on January 15, 2026, you will click on the Applications link. *****  This site is for graduated alumni members only. For those of you who are seniors and were in the 2025 MGAMB, you will now be alumni since you graduate in spring of 2026.

 

Highlights Include:

  • Alumni members will be provided with a specially designed attire to wear in the parade and it will be yours to keep as a souvenir of this momentous event.
  • Accommodations will be at a four-star Manhattan Hotel.
  • A special reception on Tuesday evening.
  • Admission to the Radio City Music Hall "Christmas Spectacular" featuring the Rockettes, on Wednesday afternoon.
  • To conclude you'll have a Thanksgiving celebration dinner on the Spirit of New York Dinner and Dance Cruise. This will be for all MGAMB Alumni members and guests.

Package Plans (Price is per person):

The following prices have been designed for either a four (4) night or a five (5) night stay at the TBD Manhattan area hotel.

 

All travelers that are a graduated MGAMB Alumni Member will pay the Alumni Member price. Any traveler that is joining an MGAMB Alumni member will pay the NON-MGAMB Alumni Member price. These are all per person prices.

 

For example, if there are four people staying in your room, each person pays the appropriate QUAD occupancy price. If there are three people staying in a room, each person pays the appropriate TRIPLE occupancy price, etc.

The Non-MGAMB Alumni Member package will include the same items as the Alumni Member package – with the exception of the items associated with the Alumni Member parade participation, such as the rehearsals and parade attire.

Non-MGAMB Alumni Member – 4 Night Prices – November 23 – 27, 2026

Quad Occupancy: $1,550 per person                        Triple Occupancy: $1,700 per person

Double Occupancy: $1,950 per person                Single Occupancy: $2,750 per person

 

MGAMB Alumni Member – 5 Night Prices – November 22 – 27, 2026

Quad Occupancy: $1,750 per person                        Triple Occupancy: $1,900 per person

Double Occupancy: $2,175 per person                      Single Occupancy: $3,100 per person

 

NON-MGAMB Alumni Member – 5 Night Prices – November 22 – 27, 2026

Quad Occupancy: $1,650 per person                        Triple Occupancy: $1,800 per person

Double Occupancy: $2,075 per person                      Single Occupancy: $3,000 per person

 

***Your transportation to/from NYC and to/from the NYC area hotel IS NOT included in any package.


There will be a Rooming Question on the Group Register site where you will indicate who you will be rooming with.

PLEASE NOTE: Music Festivals & Tours (MF&T) staff will not assign roommates. If you plan to share a room with anyone, each person must list them in the Rooming Question on Group Register.

Be sure to select the correct package:

  • If you are a member bringing your spouse, both of you must select double occupancy packages.

    • The member selects the member double occupancy package.

    • The non-member selects the non-member double occupancy package.

    • On the rooming question in Group Register, please list the person you are rooming with.

Please do not select a quad package under the assumption that MF&T will assign three additional roommates. We will not be doing this.


We use a software program called Group Register, to collect payments, ask questions that will give us needed information, uploaded documents, and communicate via email through the Group Register Software. Once we receive and process your registration, we will email instructions on how to set-up your account sometime following the registration deadline. We will send out an email to everyone once Group Register is set-up, and we have all of the performance details from Macy's, so you can set-up your account and start making payments.

 

Percussion Instruments, Flags/Poles, Poms for dancers, and Sousaphones will be provided. All others will need to bring their instruments.

 

If you play percussion, and any wind instrument that has multiple parts (1st, 2nd, 3rd), ie. Clarinet, Alto Sax, Trumpet, Mellophone, and Trombone, we will ask you to submit a short video of you playing for part placement for the winds and instrument placement for the percussion. This will be due at a later date this summer. We will email vial Group Register when to submit the video. Remember, this video is not for acceptance into the band. All alumni members are already a part of the band because you are a past member. This video will be used for part placement for the wind players and instrument assignments for the percussionist.
