Classifications

Music Showcase Festivals offer the following Classifications for Concert Bands, Jazz Ensembles, and Mixed Choirs:

• Elementary School (Grades K-6)
• Middle School (Grades 6-8) - Class A (school enrollment 699-below); Class AA (school enrollment 700 - above)
• Junior High School (Grades 7-9)
• High School (Grades 9-12) - Class A (school enrollment 600 and below); Class AA (school enrollment 601-1100) and Class AAA (school enrollment 1100 and above)

Choir Categories Offered Are:

Mixed Choir (use the classifications above if entering a mixed choir)

For other choirs listed below, please enter the following classifications:  Elementary (Grades K-6), Middle School (Grades 6-8), Junior High School (Grades 7-9), High School (Grades 9-12)

Women's Choir, Treble Choir, Men's Choir, Chamber/Madrigal Choir, Show Choir, Jazz Choir, Gospel Choir

Band Categories Offered Are:

Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble (use the classifications listed above if entering a concert band or jazz ensemble)

Parade Review (use the following classifications) - Middle School (Grades 6-8); Junior High School (Grades 7-9); High School - (Class A - 56 or less playing members, Class AA - 57-81 playing members, Class AAA - 82 or more playing members)

Orchestra Categories Are:

Orchestra/String Orchestra (use the following classifications):

• High School (Grades 9-12)
• Junior High/Middle School (Grades 6-9)
• Elementary (Grades K-6)
