Statement about COVID-19 Statement about COVID-19 Music Festivals & Tours

Updated Statement concerning COVID-19 and our 2020 Spring Festivals:

As we are monitoring the situation concerning COVID-19, things are still changing daily with the virus now in all 50 states. The Amusement Parks and other Attractions we use are still sending us notices on their plans with park openings and operating procedures. At this time, all of the parks we work with for our festival attraction, are not planning on opening until later in May or even June, and that is just an estimated time. However, schools that we use to host our festivals are either closed indefinitely or for the remainder of the school year. With all of this uncertainty and with you not knowing if you will return to school or not, what rehearsal time if any you would have, we have made the decision to cancel all of our festivals for the 2020 season. We are planning on returning in 2021 with our full slate of land and cruise festivals offerings.

As expenditures have already been paid out for the 2020 season, as well as our own expenses to operate, we will have to work with each director on how much of a refund we can actually obtain and will be able to offer. With businesses closed, employees laid off or furloughed, or working from home, it will be months before we will know what funds will be returned to us by the vendors that we use. (Hotels, airlines, park deposits, etc.) We would like to ask all directors to consider any funds that have been paid to us for the 2020 season be rolled over to the 2021 season. Where we may not be able to get a full refund back to you if you request a refund, as an incentive, if you were to roll over any payments you have paid to next year, we will roll over 100% of what you have paid regardless if we are able to obtain any refunds from our vendors.

Our 2020 Cruise Festival schools have all been addressed as many of you are planning on taking your cruise festival trip in 2021 and the cruise lines have agreed to roll over the funds that have been paid to 2021. For those of you have opted for a refund, once again, we are continuing to work with the cruise lines, airlines, and other vendors that may have been involved for your trip to see what they are able to refund. Also, please keep in mind that there have been months that we have worked on your behalf for your trip and those expenses will need to be covered as well.
Please know that we are all in this together and we will work with each director to handle any refund situation. Please note, each festival location, hotels, restaurants, etc., have different policies in place, so we have to work with you on a case by case basis.

Thank you for your support of our festival programs. Keeping you and your students, our staff, our team of Coordinators and their team that run our festivals as safe as possible, is our first priority. Since this is uncharted territory, no one knows how long COVID-19 will be around or how it will continue to affect events and daily life around the country.

We will be posting our 2021 festival dates soon so you can begin to make plans for 2021! Again, we appreciate your support and we will all get through this together!

The Governor of PA has issued all businesses that are non-essential life businesses to close down. What this means we are not allowed into the office at all until further notice. We will only be able to communicate via email and will get back to you as soon as possible. Again, this will delay with us being able to work with our parks and vendors. So, we ask that you please continue to be patient in this unprecedented time.

Stay healthy!
