Statement concerning COVID-19 and our Spring Festivals in April & May

We are monitoring the situation concerning COVID-19 as things are changing daily and even hourly. The Amusement Parks and other Attractions we use are sending us notices on their plans with park openings and operating procedures. At this time, for parks that are open now, they are closing down until the end of March and others are delaying their openings to April. Some parks don’t even open until late April or May and at this time, are planning on opening as scheduled. For Festivals where we do not use an amusement park for the “featured” attraction, we are in contact with them as well.

We are working with our Regional Coordinators, all who are directors at the schools or in the school system we use to host the festivals, are keeping tabs on school closures that may affect our facilities that we use to host the festivals. Again, this changes daily but at this time, all of our Music Showcase Festivals and Music Festivals events that are being held in the middle of April and May are still planned as scheduled. Again, we will continue to monitor the situation and update and contact directors if this changes.

Cruise Lines that we use have suspended operations for the month of March and the beginning of April.  Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Lines have  announced they will resume cruises on April 10. Schools that are on one of our cruise festivals that happen later in the spring, please contact our office as each cruise line has put policies in place to handle cancellations and re-booking for another cruise date.

Please know that we are all in this together and we will work with each director to assure you that if you have to cancel we will work with you. Each festival location, hotels, restaurants, etc., have different policies in place, so we have to work with you on a case by case basis.

Thank you for your support of our festival program. Keeping you and your students, our staff, our team of Coordinators and their team that run our festivals, as safe as possible is our first priority. Since this is uncharted territory, no one knows how long COVID-19 will be around or how it will continue to affect events around the country. We will update this statement as situations change.

We hope if you have registered and your school system has not made any decisions on participation, that you will still plan to attend our festival. If you are still thinking of registering please do so with confidence as we are monitoring the situation and will make decisions as the April and May festivals get closer. Again, we appreciate your support and we will all get through this together!

At this time the Governor of PA has issued a mandatory order that all businesses that are non-essential life businesses to close down. What this means we are not allowed into the office at all until further notice. We will only be able to communicate via email and will get back to you as soon as possible.

Stay healthy!
