Awards

The awards & trophies presented by Music SHOWCASE Festivals provide an incentive for the students in the various performing organizations to strive for musical excellence in their performances while being adjudicated by some of the nation's finest musicians and music educators. As a reward for these efforts and accomplishments, Music SHOWCASE Festivals presents distinctive and impressive trophies that are sure to provide many years of pride and fond memories.

1st through 5th place trophies for each performing category in each class will be awarded.
Outstanding Soloist, Section, and Accompanist Awards are also presented at the judges' discretion.

1st through 5th place trophies for each performing category in each class will be awarded. Outstanding Soloist and Section Awards are also presented. Outstanding Drum Major, Drum Line, and Auxiliary Awards for Parade Review may be presented when there are two or more groups (at the judges' discretion).

Overall Grand Champion

Presented to the highest scoring ensemble in Junior High/Middle School and High School divisions.
(More awards may be given at larger festivals)

Grand Sweepstakes Award


If a location has more than one festival date, a Grand Sweepstakes Award will be presented to the highest scoring Instrumental and Choral group for all dates combined. This award will be presented after the festival season has concluded and all scores have been reviewed usually the second week in June.  Recipients will be notified by letter.

Ratings
In addition to a trophy, each performing organization will also receive a distinctive medal and ribbon signifying their rating.
SUPERIOR ? Gold Medal
EXCELLENT ? Silver Medal.

Ratings are based on the following point
scale: 85-100 (Superior) and 70-84.9 (Excellent).

RATING ONLY: Performing organizations entering for "Rating Only" will receive a Superior or Excellent Rating with the appropriate trophy and medal. Your group will not receive a placement or be eligible for the Overall Championship or the Grand Sweepstakes Trophy.
