Rob
Hunter
is the Director
of the Phoenix Symphony Guild Symphonic
Winds;
Director of Instrumental Music at Mesa
College; conductor of the college concert
bands, jazz bands and a conductor to
numerous honor bands throughout the U.S and
Canada. He is a well-known clinician
at national conferences and festivals and
for school and university music programs.
Mr. Hunter is a the co-coordinator of the
Mesa College Summer Jazz Camps; the
Past-President for the International
Association for Jazz Education – Arizona
Unit; the Vice President for the Arizona
Band and Orchestra Directors Association and
the Music Education Coordinator for Ottawa
University (Phoenix). In 2006 he was
appointed the position of Managing Director/
Artist and Relations for Grigorian
Entertainment. Over the past four
years, Rob has been working with Music
Festivals and Cruise Festivals International
and is proud to be on staff with the Macy’s
Great American Marching Band.
Rob’s career spans classical, jazz and
commercial music genres. As a trumpet
performer he has shared the stage, or
opened, with groups such as: Tears For
Fears, The Fixx, Maroon 5, Phoenix Symphony,
Boston Symphony, the Empire Brass and the
Canadian Brass. He frequently performs at
events for the National Football League,
Major League Baseball, and Clear Channel
Radio. Rob has taught jazz bands, jazz
fundamentals, and jazz improvisation at
Arizona State University where he has
completed the course work for the Doctor of
Musical Arts. He has also earned a Master of
Music degree from ASU, a Bachelor of Music
and Bachelor of Education from the
University of Western Ontario.
Scott Lang - Scott Lang Leadership
Seminars

For almost a
decade, Scott has been educating and entertaining student and adult audiences of
all ages through his workshops and keynote presentations. Large and small venues
alike, Scott consistently finds creative ways to ensure laughter in learning as
he provides attendees the tools necessary to deal with their own lives, their
organizations, or their schools. Attendees consistently rank Scott’s workshops
as the top sessions at events. He not only provides an insightful educational
presentation, but also provides his audiences direction on how to implement
their new-found knowledge into action. Scott’s workshops are a perfect companion
to his keynote presentations and can be customized and/or created to meet your
organization’s needs.
While in Arizona, he was actively involved
in Kappa Kappa Psi, MENC, AMEA (AZ Music
Educators Association)and ABODA (AZ
Band/Orchestra Directors Association)
Scott received
his Bachelor of Music Education in the Fall
of 1988 and completed his Masters Degree in
Secondary Educational Administration. Prior
to arriving at Marcos de Niza High School in
1999, Mr. Lang was Director of Bands at
Tempe High School In Tempe, Arizona, where
his bands performed at the Pasadena
Tournament of Roses Parade, Fiesta Bowl
National Band Championship, twice at the
Arizona Music Educator’s Convention and
M.E.N.C’s Biennial Conference with the
CANADIAN BRASS. Mr. Lang’s bands have
consistently received Superior and Superior
with Distinction ratings in the Concert,
Marching and Jazz arenas. Mr. Lang was the
1995 recipient of the Governing Board award
of Excellence and 2001 recipient of the
Diablo Award for Educational Excellence. In
addition, he is listed in "Who's Who in
American Education." Mr. Lang is also the
founder of the Scott Lang Leadership
Seminars, which deals with the development
of student leadership in secondary school
students. In 2003, Mr. Lang was named as one
of "50 Directors Who Care" by SBO magazine.Mr. Lang currently resides in Tempe, Arizona
with his beautiful wife and life companion,
Leah and their newborn son, Brayden. He can
often be found at home sweeping up the
tremendous amount of dog hair Samba and
Grainger leave behind. |
