The awards & trophies presented by MUSIC
FESTIVALS provide an incentive for the
students in the various performing
organizations to strive for musical
excellence in their performances while being
adjudicated by some of the nation's finest
musicians and music educators. As a reward
for these efforts and accomplishments, MUSIC
FESTIVALS presents distinctive and
impressive trophies that are sure to provide
many years of pride and fond memories.

Trophies are presented to the Most
Outstanding in Junior High/Middle School in
the following divisions:
* INSTRUMENTAL *
CHORAL
Please note that an Overall Trophy is
presented in each Division only if there are
two or more performing groups in a
particular category from different
classifications.
Grand Sweepstakes Awards
At each festival a Grand Sweepstakes Award
will be presented in both the INSTRUMENTAL
and CHORAL categories for Junior High/Middle
School and Senior High School. CHORAL - The
choral award will be determined by combining
the highest scores from any two choral
performing groups one of which must be a
concert choir. INSTRUMENTAL - The
instrumental award will be determined by
combining the highest scores from two
instrumental performing groups one of which
must be in concert band/wind ensemble or
orchestra. Your MUSIC FESTIVALS' Directors
Guide will state exact rules, exclusions,
and qualifications.
Please note that Grand Sweepstakes Trophies
are presented only if there are two or more
schools with two or more eligible choral or
instrumental performing groups.
Division Ratings
In addition to the trophies, each performing
group will also receive a distinctive medal
& ribbon symbolizing division ratings.

Performing organizations entering for Rating
Only will receive a Superior, Excellent,
