The Teaneck Armory is perfectly suited to band rehearsals for
bands attending the Macy’s |
| Thanksgiving
Day Parade because of its close proximity to New York City and
large, in-door, |
| “real-turf” field. Music Festivals
has arranged for a group rehearsal at the Armory on Wednesday,
|
| November 26th. |
Attending Rehearsals
Tag-Alongs who wish to attend the band rehearsals at the Teaneck
Armory Sports Coliseum are welcome to do so. There is plenty of
grandstand seating around the practice area. Please contact Music
Festivals if you are interested in attending the rehearsal. If there
are an adequate number of people, Music Festivals will arrange for
bus transportation for Tag-Alongs at a nominal fee.
In addition, the 3:30 a.m. rehearsal on Thanksgiving morning is not
open to the public. NYPD blockades will limit your access – so just
stay in your warm bed and sleep!
Directions to Teaneck Armory
The Coliseum is conveniently located only 5 minutes from the George
Washington Bridge—with easy access to major highways. And there’s
plenty of free parking—enough for an army.
From the George Washington Bridge:
Take Route 4 West to Teaneck
Road exit (about 3 miles from G.W. Bridge). Make right off exit and
travel north (towards Bergenfield) for 1.4 miles. The Teaneck Armory
sits back on the right side of the
road at the intersection of Teaneck Road and Liberty.
Garden State Parkway(from the south): Take Garden
State Parkway North to Exit 161. Take Route 4 East to Teaneck
Road (Bergenfield) and follow from “Make right” above.
Garden State Parkway(from the north): Take Garden
State Parkway South to Exit 163, to Route 17 South. Take Route
17 for 2 miles to Route 4 East. Take Route 4 East to Teaneck Road
(Bergenfield) and follow from “Make right” above
under G.W. Bridge directions.
From Route 80 West: Travel East on Route 80 to Exit
70. Take 70B and follow signs toward Teaneck; pass the Marriott
and turn right at the second light onto Teaneck Road. Travel north
on Teaneck Road for approximately 3 to 4 miles (1.4
miles north of Route 4).
From the New Jersey Turnpike: NJ Turnpike to Exit
18E and follow signs to the G.W. Bridge. Exit at Teaneck/Leonia,
Exit and follow signs to Teaneck and follow from “pass the Marriott”
above.
