John D. Rockefeller, Jr. first opened the Observation Deck atop
30 Rockefeller
Center in 1933 to give something back to New Yorkers and their
visitors from
around the world – a place to appreciate and celebrate the city.
Now, for the first
time in 20 years, this breathtaking vantage point is being
re-introduced to the
people of New York and the world.
Top of the Rock is a streamlined, uncluttered and thrilling
experience
- with panels of fully transparent, non-reflective safety glass
allowing
completely unobstructed, open-air views of the entire city. A New
York
City landmark for nearly 75 years, Rockefeller Center is located in
the
heart of Manhattan and home to broadcast studios, shops,
restaurants,
an ice-skating rink, and Radio City Music Hall.

leisure

Lower Manhattan Tour

Enjoy a unique and informative walking and step-on
tour of historic, Lower Manhattan. You will see sights
including Little Italy, China Town, Battery Park, Bowling
Green/Old U.S. Customs House, Charging Bull
Sculpture, Wall Street/The NY Stock Exchange, Federal
Hall National Monument, Trinity Church, World Trade
Center Site/Ground Zero, Winter Garden and St. Paul’s
Chapel. The tour will conclude in Little Italy with time
to shop in the Little Italy/Chinatown area.

NY Philharmonic
The New York Philharmonic, the oldest symphony orchestra in the
United States and the
third oldest in the world, has been a pioneer in the commissioning
of new music and in the
dissemination of classical music through the use of media, from
radio and disc to the Internet. The
Orchestra currently plays some 180 concerts a year. On December 18,
2004, the Philharmonic
gave its 14,000th concert — a milestone unmatched by any other
orchestra in the world.
