DANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Your Dance/Drill Team is invited to our Dance Championships that are held at Universal Orlando® in Sound Stage 33.  This is a one-day event and our package plans include a one-day park-to-park admission ticket (day of event) so you will be able to enjoy both Islands of Adventure® or Universal Studios®.  However, we will still offer a two-day park to park package as well.  Please see the package plans listed below.  Click here for the link to Universal Orlando's® website. 

This event is open to All-Star/Studio, Recreational League, Junior High/Middle School and High School Dance/Drill Teams and you do not need to pre-qualify.  Your team will join other teams from the Eastern Part of the United States and will be adjudicated by two outstanding judges that will offer verbal and written comments of your team's performance(s).  We will also offer Solo, Partner, and Small and Large Ensemble Competition in addition to the team events.

Teams that use our hotel packages will be housed at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites located on Kirkman Road across from Universal Orlando.  Please click here for the hotel's website.  We offer one, two or three-night plans as well as Day and Contest Only Packages. 

Teams are required to purchase admission tickets from Cheer & Dance/Drill Team America since this is a special event.  However, if you have a Season Pass, you may purchase the Contest Only Package which will grant you admission to the competition.  You must have a park admission ticket or a season pass and competition wristband to participate in or watch the competition and to attend the awards ceremony.

Performances will take place on Saturday morning/early afternoon. The Awards Ceremony will be held on Saturday evening in Universal Studios either in Sound Stage 33 or another area assigned by Universal Orlando.  Details will be included in your final schedule information.

Teams will check in at the front entrance to Universal Studios® between 8:15 - 8:45 AM where you will pick up your group's park admission tickets, competition wristbands, and an updated copy of the Performance Order.  Once the gates officially open to Universal Studios® you will proceed to Sound Stage 33 and begin stretching and warm-ups.  Following a meeting with the coaches, the competition will begin at approximately 9:45 AM.  Once you are concluded with your performances, you are welcome to enjoy the remainder of the day in the parks. 

We will offer two different package plans for this event.  One will be with the Two-Day Park to Park Admission Ticket for those groups that may want to enjoy an additional full day in the park.  Tickets will be available for pick up Saturday morning at check-in. You will use the first day on Saturday for the event and enjoy a full day at the parks on Sunday.  The second package plan will offer the One-Day Park to Park Admission Ticket to use on Saturday, the day of the competition.

Please indicate in the NOTES section of the registration form which ticket option you would like.  This will assure the correct tickets are ordered for your group.

2015 AVAILABLE PACKAGE PLANS                                                         

PLAN I - Day Package - This package includes either a One-Day Park to Park or Two-Day Park to Park Admission Ticket to Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure.  Competition Admission to Sound Stage 33 and Competition Fees for the student performers.  Admission to the Grand Awards Ceremony.

PLAN II - One-Night Hotel - This package includes either a One-Day Park to Park or Two-Day Park to Park Admission Ticket to Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure.  Competition Admission to Sound Stage 33 and Competition Fees for the student performers.  Admission to the Grand Awards Ceremony. One-Night Hotel, One Buffet Breakfast at Hotel.

PLAN III - Two-Nights Hotel - This package includes either a One-Day Park to Park or Two-Day Park to Park Admission Ticket to Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure.  Competition Admission to Sound Stage 33 and Competition Fees for the student performers.  Admission to the Grand Awards Ceremony. Two-Nights Hotel, Two Buffet Breakfasts at Hotel.

PLAN IV - Three-Nights Hotel - This package includes either a One-Day Park to Park or Two-Day Park to Park Admission Ticket to Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure.  Competition Admission to Sound Stage 33 and Competition Fees for the student performers.  Admission to the Grand Awards Ceremony. Three-Nights Hotel, Three Buffet Breakfast at Hotel.

Overnight prices are per person with Students in Quad Occupancy (4 to a room) and Adults/Spectators in Double Occupancy (2 to a room).  Students placed in a triple room will have an additional charge of $10 per student per night.  Adults/Spectators in Single Occupancy will have an additional charge of $50 per night.  Adults/Spectators in Quads or Triples will have a lower adjusted price. Prices will be adjusted according to your rooming list.

Grand Awards Ceremony held in Universal Studios®

Ratings based on a National Standard presented to each group.  (Superior 85-100; Excellent 70-84.9; Good 69.9 and below)

Adjudication by two outstanding judges with recorded and written comments

One free chaperone for every 25 paid students (based on double occupancy)

One free coach based on a minimum of 15 paid students for overnight plans and 10 students for non-hotel plans (based on double occupancy)
